What motivates me – liberty

Every militia member needs to be motivated in their pursuit of the effective and proper security of a free people. This means that they must have some sort of worldview, or philosophy, or grand perspective, whatever you wish to call it. Mine is pretty simple.

We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.” – Thomas Jefferson

“Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. I am a Christian. If God’s kingdom is to come on Earth, then the pursuit of liberty is the pursuit of His kingdom, because the Spirit of the Lord brings liberty and his son came to set free the oppressed. If I oppose those who seek to enslave others, then I explicitly and implicitly support God’s kingdom. As long as I don’t use that liberty to try and gain control of someone else, I am helping to advance God’s kingdom.
